Welcome to Kenyon!

Ascension Hall

Congratulations: you are now joining the nearly 200 tenure track and visiting faculty of Kenyon College. And we are so glad to have you. It won’t be long until we see you on campus: walking down Middle Path, having coffee at Wiggin Street Café, or picking up mail at the Post Office. Please stop by the Provost’s Office to pick up your keys or just to say hello when you get into town and get settled. Kenyon supports faculty through a variety of programs organized not only by the Provost’s Office, but also by the Center for Innovative Pedagogy and the Office of Sponsored Faculty Research. The first of these is New Faculty Orientation.

New Faculty Orientation - August 14-17th, 2023

(Monday evening August 14 through Thursday lunch on August 17)

We kick off the orientation program with dinner at Ariel Foundation Park for all new faculty and their partners and children. This is a celebratory event to welcome you to Kenyon and to the community. It is also your first opportunity to meet your cohort and begin building relationships across the College. The formal meetings and workshops, for all new faculty, take place in the mornings of August 15, 16 and 17 with panel presentations and roundtable discussions.

Optional afternoon events have also been planned to introduce you to other aspects of our environment. We’ll culminate with a happy hour at the Brown Family Environmental Center on Thursday, August 17.
