How to Estimate Aid

You can use these calculators to help get a sense of whether you’d qualify for need-based financial aid–and what you might pay for college. It is intended to estimate a family contribution for U.S. Citizens and permanent residents. It does not apply to Canadian or other international students.

We suggest that you use MyinTuition for a quick estimate, then use our Net Price Calculator for an estimate that is more customized to your individual family financial circumstances.

The Net Price Calculator does not forecast future aid eligibility, but instead provides an estimate of past aid eligibility using the costs for the 2021-22 academic year and income from the 2019 calendar year. You are welcome to substitute tax information from a more recent tax year to reflect your current circumstances.

Merit-based scholarships at Kenyon are not included in aid estimates using the above tools. Additionally, there is a limit to which merit aid can stack on top of a need-based package.

To receive a full evaluation of financial aid eligibility, students must complete the entire  financial aid application process. Financial aid application results are delivered at the time of admission, provided that priority filing dates are met.

There are some situations where these estimating tools are not applicable:

  • Families who reside outside the United States (regardless of citizenship)
  • When biological/adoptive parents are not currently married (and do not reside in the same household)
  • Independent students

If you have questions about your family’s need-based eligibility or circumstances, please contact the Office of Financial Aid.
