Mary Ellen, a native of southwestern Michigan, began working at Kenyon in 2012 in the women’s and gender studies and Asian studies programs. In 2013, she joined the Office of the President, where she now serves as executive assistant to the president and coordinator of administrative services.

Mary Ellen earned her B.F.A. in fibers from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2003. Upon graduating she went on to work at a small wholesale scarf company before focusing her career on working in higher education. She worked at a handful of collegiate institutions before coming to Kenyon, including the Rhode Island School of Design, Bucknell University and Otterbein University. She resides in Gambier with her husband, Craig Hill, and daughter.
