At the Philander Phling/Sean farewell event in Cleveland, we captured on video a special performance by a group of alumni. They wrote a version of the Beatles "Here Comes the Sun" as "Here Comes our Sean" and performed it for a crowd of over 100.
Watch the video on YouTube, and read the lyrics below.
Here Comes Our Sean
Here comes our Sean, New York City,
Here comes D-Cat, and we say, it's all right.
Raised in Cleveland, he's known some long, cold, lonely winters.
He loves Cleveland, Ohio's glad that he's been here.
Here comes our Sean, New York City,
Here comes D-Cat, and we say, treat him right.
Kenyon College, he's brought proud smiles to our faces,
Middle Path, he took us to exciting places.
Here comes our Sean, New York City,
Here comes D-Cat, and we say, treat him right.
Sean, Sean, Sean, here he comes
Sean, Sean, Sean, here he comes
Sean, Sean, Sean, here he comes
Sean, Sean, Sean, here he comes
Sean, Sean, Sean, here he comes
Lords and Ladies, today are owls wisely soaring,
Cleveland sports teams, it's been tough years, but we're still here.
Here comes our Sean, New York City,
Here comes D-Cat, and we say, it's all right.
Here comes our Sean, New York City,
Here comes D-Cat, and we say, treat him right.
Treat him right.
