Dear members of the Kenyon College community,
COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Knox County and throughout Ohio. Thanks to your efforts, the Kenyon community has seen remarkably few cases on campus; and yet our testing program has yielded four positive results among students and employees in the past week, and we know that the conditions in the region have heightened the risk of exposure among faculty, staff and their households. We recognize that, at this point in the semester, we must take every precaution to assist students in making plans for safe travel home. To offer students and families maximum flexibility in planning travel, classes will be offered remotely on Monday and Tuesday. Faculty should adjust their plans to entirely remote teaching next week.

Students are expected to administer a COVID-19 test within 14 days prior to departure. For students who have not yet received an exit test, the testing center in Gund Commons Ballroom is open daily, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., through Friday, Nov. 20. We urge students to check state and country travel advisories, as some destinations require a negative COVID-19 test result.

Students must move all belongings out of their rooms prior to departing campus by no later than Wednesday, Nov. 25, at noon. For more information on move-out, visit our website.

The campus will remain at moderate alert status through Nov. 25.
