Dozens of members of Kenyon’s record-breaking Class of 2025 chose to kick off their Kenyon careers in a unique fashion by participating in the Kenyon in Copenhagen program. Under the guidance of Kenyon faculty members in residence — English faculty Sergei Lobanov-Rostovsky and Sarah Heidt ’97, Professor of Economics and Environmental Studies Robert Alexander, and Associate Professor of Psycholgoy Irene López — the cohort traveled to Denmark’s capital city to take courses mirroring a first semester at Kenyon and participate in hands-on learning opportunities and co-curricular travel. In January, they will return to Gambier for the spring semester with a global perspective, a close community of peers and valuable academic and research skills to enrich the rest of their Kenyon experience.
Lobanov-Rostovsky, Heidt and Program Assistant Annie Hesse ’20 explained details of the successful program in a Nov. 9, 2021, Zoom presentation.
