As of spring 2022, our Andrew W. Mellon Foundation funded initiative for digital storytelling is complete.
Digital storytelling is the still-emerging art and craft of using images, sound, and hypertext in a digital format to communicate ideas, teach new concepts, persuade audiences, share cultural narratives, or bring history to life.
Our objectives in this initiative were: to engage faculty in the production of digital narrative that challenged and inspired their approaches to teaching; to cultivate best practices in the field of digital storytelling, which deepen student learning and build valuable skills; and to create the appropriate institutional infrastructure to support these projects.
This site is under construction, and soon we hope to be able to offer you a more comprehensive toolkit that you can use to implement digital storytelling in your classes and scholarly work.
