Connecting and listening across lines of difference

As a community of learners, one of the most important actions we can take is to better understand the current Israel-Hamas conflict. Kenyon’s Center for the Study of American Democracy sponsors programming that seeks to inform and educate the community about the conflict while fostering constructive dialogue and civil discourse.

November 1, 2023: Peter L. Hahn, professor of history at the Ohio State University, discusses the history of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians and of U.S. foreign policy in the region. The author of “Caught in the Middle East: U.S. Policy toward the Arab-Israeli Conflict, 1945-1961,” Hahn has published seven books on the history of American diplomacy in the Middle East.
