Those students that plan to create a mixed year group, will participate in an offline placement process at the end of corresponding selection (i.e. any groups having a senior in the group will select after the senior selection. Any mixed groups not having a senior in their group will select after junior selection).

Mixed groups are unable to select rooms online through Residence.

Mixed Group Placement

Those students planning on creating a mixed group, need to fill out the Mixed Group Placement for Housing Selection form. Mixed groups can indicate their preferences of spaces when completing the form. Placement will occur after the corresponding housing selection section. Mixed groups with a senior will be placed after senior selection, groups without a senior will be placed after junior selection.

Due to the nature of mixed groups and how the Residence system works, all mixed groups are hand placed into the system.

Should housing be unavailable for a mixed group, individual students will need to return to the general selection process. Those whose selection time slot has already started will be able to form a new group (within the same class year) if they like, or they can select a single (if available). Students whose selection time slot has not started yet should wait until it opens to select a room. They are also welcome to form new groups within their class year.

Option Housing

If an individual student is unable to form a new group and they are unable to select a single room, they will need to participate in the option housing process after the general housing process is complete.
