Created by a generous donation from Richard Spinner ’63 in 2001, the purpose of the Kenyon Campus Community Development Fund (KCCDF) is to support activities designed to foster an enriching expansion to student-faculty-staff interaction. It is intended as a resource for engagement outside the classroom in ways not normally associated with curricular activities.
Requests for funding are made through an application process and may be initiated by students, faculty, or staff members. Successful proposals will encourage student-faculty-staff interaction in ways that do not currently occur, that maximize the time spent together, and that foster an atmosphere conducive to mentoring. Examples include, but are not limited to, special symposia, recreational activities, service-oriented activities, and social gatherings.
Though no specific limit is set on the amount of funds that may be requested, awards will rarely exceed $2000, unless the proposed activity is of exceptional merit. Additionally, preference will be given for new activities that have not been previously funded. The fund cannot be used for stipends, honoraria, or to cover the cost of alcohol.
If you have questions while developing your proposal, please email Amy Quinlivan (quinlivana@kenyon.edu) in the Provost’s Office.
Recipients of this funding are required to submit 3-4 photos of the event to Rachel Hoffman (hoffman2@kenyon.edu) and a final report by completing the KCCDF Post-Event Report Form.
To request funding, please complete the KCCDF Form.
