Kenyon welcomes students who apply for admission after beginning undergraduate study at another institution.
The admissions staff recognizes that not all students are comfortable with their initial college choice — and that academic and career goals often change during the college years. For this reason, the College accepts a limited number of transfer students each year, depending on their class year and the availability of living accommodations.
Students who wish to transfer to Kenyon should present secondary-school and college records that reflect an ability to do work of the quality expected at the College. In most cases, successful transfer applicants present grades of B or better in their current courses.
Steps for Applying as a Transfer Student
Complete the Transfer Common Application.
Please send us the following material
- Official transcript(s) from all high schools and colleges you've attended. They should list all your courses and grades, including this year's courses. We are able to receive transcripts directly from a high school or college as well as through the Common Application, eSCRIP-SAFE, or Parchment.
- Test requirements: please refer to Standardized testing at Kenyon.
- College Report (PDF). This should be completed by a college/university registrar or appropriate dean/college official who can verify enrollment and academic standing.
- Academic Evaluation (a recommendation from a professor).
- Mid-Term Report (PDF).
