Leeman Kessler graduated from Kenyon College in 2004, majoring in theater. After college, Leeman earned a Master of Arts in Education at Austin Peay State University and then moved to Toronto, Ontario, where he taught, worked in theater and produced multiple web-series.
Since returning to Gambier in 2015, Leeman became an affiliated scholar with the Department of Dance, Drama, and Film, was elected to village council, and he has served as the mayor of Gambier since 2020. He can be frequently found around campus with one or both of his kids.
