Now retired, Ray Heithaus taught ecology, animal behavior, conservation biology, evolution, marine ecology, introduction to environmental science and introductory biology for 34 years. Ray published peer reviewed articles in the areas of population and community ecology, and edited for 14 years the scientific journal for tropical ecology, Biotropica. He helped establish for Kenyon College the environmental studies concentration, Brown Family Environmental Center, and Summer Science Scholars programs. Now Ray is working with the local and state conservation groups, the Owl Creek Conservancy and the Ohio Natural Areas and Preserves Association.
