Kenyon proudly announces the appointment of Alice Teall as the new senior director of wellness, effective July 1. Teall's selection follows an extensive nationwide search, attracting applicants from across the country seeking to join the College community.
Currently serving as associate clinical professor and director of graduate health and wellness academic programming at The Ohio State University College of Nursing, Teall brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, she has held various positions at institutions and organizations, solidifying her reputation as a leader in the field. Teall's work has been recognized through numerous awards and grants, and her extensive publications in clinical practice and wellness further underscore her contributions to the field.
“Dr. Teall made a stellar impression on the search committee and during her campus visit,” said Vice President for Student Affairs Celestino Limas. “She continued to give all she encountered a sense of excitement for what would come if she were to join us. Her career is one that simultaneously gives us a proven innovator and leader of health promotion and health/counseling services, while also having a thought leader in the public space regarding wellness who can be a resource for the campus and also a strong partner as we accelerate the wellness components of the Collegeʻs strategic plan.”
Expressing enthusiasm for her new role, Teall said, "Wellness is foundational to student learning and success. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead efforts that create and enhance a sense of well-being, belonging and community at Kenyon."
The College community will welcome Teall this summer when she assumes her responsibilities.
