The Math and Science Skills Center (MSSC) is staffed by faculty-supervised peer tutors who assist students in 100- and 200-level science, math, economics and philosophy courses with homework, lab reports and conceptual questions.

At the MSSC, students can undertake individual study while tutors are available to answer questions or help with assignments; study and complete assignments with a group of classmates; and discuss classes, majors, research and potential careers with upperclass students.

The MSSC has over 6,000 visits by about 20 percent of the student body each academic year, and is an invaluable resource to students of diverse majors from many academic divisions.

Hours of Operation

The MSSC is open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays whenever classes are in session. The MSSC will hold in-person tutoring during the spring 2023 semester starting on Sunday, January 22.
