Julie Brodie

Director of Community Partnerships

Julie Brodie joined Kenyon’s faculty in 2002. She teaches modern and ballet technique, kinesiology, pedagogy and Labanotation, and she works closely with students in staging dances from notated scores. Brodie’s research explores the integration of dance science and Labanotation principles into the dance curriculum, and she is currently working on the notation of Latvian folk dances. Alyssa Gómez Lawrence '10

Assistant Director, community engaged learning and internships

Alyssa Gómez Lawrence joined the Office for Community Partnerships in January 2016. A Kenyon alumna and English major, born and raised in Knox County, her work focuses on community engaged learning courses and research — course work designed to address specific community needs and/or access community knowledge while providing opportunities for reflection on real-world, hands-on experiences — and fostering new and existing partnerships between Kenyon and the surrounding community. 740-427-5904 | lawrencea@kenyon.edu

Associate Professor of Anthropology
The Community-Engaged Learning Faculty Fellow is a member of Kenyon's faculty who works to advance community-engaged learning and research at Kenyon through faculty development and support. 

Iris Levin

Assistant Professor of Biology & Environmental Studies
The Rural Life Faculty Fellow is a member of Kenyon’s faculty with a compelling vision of a project or course that would enhance the study of rural life. The fellowship recognizes the significance of community-based projects that mobilize faculty and students to explore culture, history, evolution and economy from a local rural context.
