South Quad

Work on Kenyon’s historic South Quad began in the spring and summer of 2022, with the construction of three apartment-style residence halls on South Campus. The new buildings are built to Duke University’s High Performance Building Framework for sustainability and designed to provide students with an exceptional residential experience during a time in which community and personal connection have become more meaningful than ever before. Construction will be phased, with the first two residence halls scheduled for completion in the spring of 2024 and the winter of 2025. Construction on the third residence hall is expected to conclude the summer of 2026.

Bexley Hall

The renovation of Bexley Hall began in January 2022, adding 36 suite-style rooms that meet contemporary students’ needs while preserving historic architectural details. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2023.

West Quad

The new Chalmers Library opened in the fall of 2021. Lowell House, the new home for admissions, opened in the spring of 2022. Construction on Oden Hall, a new academic building for the social sciences, is nearly complete, and the building is expected to open for the start of second semester in January 2023.
