The Kenyon Keys Student Research Grants provide support for students to do travel-based, site-specific research related to one or more of the six Keys: Democracy & Publics; Health & Community; Data & Technology; Sustainability & Society; Global & Local; Making & Knowing. The grants enable students to spend the necessary time to conduct research and develop the project in a sustained way at archives, libraries, institutes and centers for which they have secured the necessary permissions or other site-specific work. The Keys initiative supports research at various stages of development, from visiting a library or a museum to explore a particular resource to consulting materials to help complete a longstanding project. The goal of the award is to fund a range of projects that may include writing research papers, curating a virtual exhibition, contributing to a syllabus for a course, teaching a unit to local students, and producing a visual or audio production. Students are provided with an opportunity to showcase their research outcomes at presentations on campus.
