Palme House not only has arguably the prettiest porch on campus but is also a top candidate for boasting the most fascinating faculty offices. That’s because members of the anthropology department, located here, have covered their walls and filled their shelves with artwork and artifacts from the far-flung places where they do field research. So, meeting with a professor here may whet your appetite to learn more about Botswana, Belize or Thailand. In Palme House, you’ll also find skeletons in the closet — literally, because the department keeps a teaching collection for coursework in biological anthropology.

Palme House factoid: The building was named for Olof Palme, a former prime minister of Sweden — and a Kenyon graduate (Class of 1948).
